Introduction: Surgical Site Infection (SSI) is one of the most common complications postcaeserean section, which mainly associated with increase morbidity and mortality. This also an important cause prolonged hospital stay, patient dissatisfaction higher treatment cost. There very limited data available on incidence, outcome clinical spectrum SSI from Southern Rajasthan. Aim: The aim was to find out frequency variables contributing it in women who have a caesarean section tertiary care centre Rajasthan, India. Materials Methods: prospective observational study conducted over duration six months June 2019 November at SHKBM, Jhalawar Hospital Medical College, Jhalawar, All developed during stay or within 30 days following surgery were included study. Demographic all potential risk factors noted. Pus samples infected wound sent for culture sensitivity. Data presented as frequencies percentages. Statistical Package Social Sciences software (SPSS) version 26.0 Epi Info Software used statistical analysis. Results: A total 1157 cases underwent caeserean period, among them 53 had SSI, gives incidence rate 4.5%. In present study, majority belonged 21-25 years age group 33 (62.26%), 31 (58.49%) unbooked, 47 (88.67%) seen emergency 48 (90.56%) pfannenstiel incision.
